Suzie Ellis Hoyle
An Atlanta native, C. Suzette Ellis-Hoyle was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1986 and to the practice of law in New York in 1990. Ms. Ellis-Hoyle received her B.A. degree in psychology from Emory University in 1983. She received her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree from Tulane Law School in 1986.
Ms. Ellis-Hoyle is a member of the DeKalb County and Atlanta Bar Associations , Family Law Section and Workers’ Compensation Law Section; State Bar of Georgia; Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar.
Ms. Ellis-Hoyle was honored with an “AV” rating award through peer review by Martindale-Hubbell in 1996, and has maintained that superior professional rating for the past twenty years. The “AV” rating indicates that Ms. Ellis-Hoyle’s peers report that she is of the highest level of legal ability and ethics. She has been named a Preeminent Woman Lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell, as well as a Georgia Top Lawyer.
Ms. Ellis-Hoyle is a member of the Board of Directors serving the Atlanta Bar Foundation, the charitable branch of the Atlanta Bar Association. She is an active patron of the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre and has served as general counsel and on the Board of Directors for this non-profit organization. She is a member of Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, a service which provides free and reduced fees for the representation of artists in need of legal assistance. In 1989, Ms. Ellis-Hoyle Co-Authored a text book: Theories of Criminal Justice; A Critical Reappraisal, Longwood Academic, Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, 1989.
Ms. Ellis-Hoyle concentrates in the areas of Domestic Relations/Family Law, Workers’ Compensation Law, Catastrophic Injury and Wrongful Death. She is a trained civil and domestic mediator. Ms. Ellis-Hoyle is admitted to practice in the State and Superior courts in Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Northern and Middle District Federal Courts of Georgia, as well as the Supreme Court of New York.
During her 30 years in the practice of law, Ms. Ellis-Hoyle’s mission has been to provide each client with proficient and highly-skilled representation. Dawn de Klerk
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Dawn Elizabeth de Klerk, Esq. has made Georgia her home for the past 20 years. Ms. de Klerk obtained her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University and her Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law. Ms. de Klerk is a member of the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, DeKalb Bar Association, and a registered mediator with Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.
Ms. de Klerk began practicing in the area of domestic relations/family law in 1993, and since that time, has continued to work exclusively in the interest of families. Ms. de Klerk assists clients in all phases of contested and uncontested cases involving divorce, alimony, equitable division, child custody and visitation, child support, contempt, restraining orders, modification issues, paternity, and mediation services. She believes part of her responsibility as an attorney is to educate clients about the impact the law will have on their specific issues. Ms. de Klerk strives to help them understand the legal implications associated with their choices, and provide them with the information they need to make the best decisions for themselves and their families.
Ms. de Klerk serves as a Guardian ad Litem and has undergone training programs in Cobb County and through Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers. She has completed Domestic Mediation Training and Collaborative Family Law Training. Ms. de Klerk is a member of the Georgia Bar; she has been admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals. She has litigated in 26 counties in Georgia.
Additionally, Ms. de Klerk has contributed to several volunteer organizations including the Truancy Intervention Project, Habitat for Humanity and participated on the Judicial – Citizen Panel Review. This Panel met monthly to review the welfare of children in Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS) custody. She is a member of Douglasville First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Atlanta Track Club and a member of Phi Mu Sorority.
Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Tammy Adams relocated to Georgia after receiving her Juris Doctor from Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina. Tammy began her undergraduate education at the Clemson University where she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Political Science.
While attending law school, Tammy was an active member of the Trial Advocacy Board and Black Law Students Association, where she acted as President during her 3L year. Tammy has a passion for community service, and has spear-headed several community outreach programs. During her law school career, Tammy also interned for attorneys practicing in the areas of Family Law and Estate Planning.
Tammy now joins us as a new associate. She brings to the firm her willingness to assist clients, patience, understanding, strong work ethic and a fresh legal prospective. She is

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Camille moved to Georgia at the age of 14 where she has remained. She obtained a Degree in Marketing Management in 1993 and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies in 1994. Camille began working with Ms. Ellis-Hoyle in 1995. In her capacity as legal assistant over the past twenty-one years with the practice, Camille has acted as a liaison between the attorneys and clients. When the attorneys are in court, or at depositions or mediations and not immediately available at all times, Camille has always made sure that all client calls are returned and that the client’s needs are met..
As the firm’s Senior Paralegal, Camille is responsible for administration and day-to-day office operations including client billing and accounts receivable, conflict management and human resources. Ellis Hoyle King de Klerk LLC is fortunate to have the dedication, experience, and knowledge that Camille has brought to this firm.
Pam moved to the Atlanta Georgia area from Roanoke Virginia in the Spring of 2009. She has over 30 years of administrative experience having worked with a variety of different companies in Roanoke. Pam was hired as a part-time Administrative assistant in February 2015. Her smiling face will greet you as you walk into our firm’s reception area. She is always eager to assist our clients.
